EATONTON, Ga. – Will McFadden and Nicklas Borrmann sit in the top 10 following Friday's opening round of the Linger Longer Invitational at the Great Waters Golf Course; the pair shot a 2-under 70 to lead Troy. The Trojans are in 13^th place but find themselves just nine shots back of the top five.

McFadden made the turn at three under par following a flurry of birdies on No. 15, No. 16 and No. 18 before playing the back half at even par with a birdie and a bogey. Borrmann's best round of the season came with three birdies, all after the turn. He bogeyed his first hole of the day and followed with nine straight pars before ending with birdies on three of his final eight holes.

Troy shot 10-over as a team Friday which is just seven shots back of No. 45 Virginia and a shot better than conference foe Georgia State. No. 40 Georgia Tech sits 5-under to lead the field while Charlotte is two shots back in second.

Brent Hamm is tied for 64^th after shooting a 5-over-77 with a pair of birdies, Ryan Morrison is tied for 79^th place at 9-over par and Reagan Harrell is tied for 83^rd place at 12-over.

Troy, Georgia State and Toledo will be paired in threesomes for Saturday's second round; the first group is scheduled to go from the 10^th tee box at 8:20 a.m. (CT).
