Jasmine Robinson Named Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball's Jasmine Robinson was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week after averaging 14.3 points and 5.0 assists per game in Troy's three-game sweep over Georgia State this past weekend.
Robinson earned her first career player of the week honor following an impressive week where she recorded three straight double-digit scoring games and tied a season-high in assists with six in game two against the Panthers. In the three games, Robinson totaled 43 points, 15 assists, four steals and two rebounds.
In the third and final game against Georgia State, Robinson scored 18 points to become the 25th member of the Troy's 1,000-point club. In her career she has scored 1,014 points.
Since the start of conference play Robinson has been one of the best guards in the Sun Belt Conference. The preseason Second Team All-Sun Belt honoree ranks sixth in scoring (12.9 ppg), fourth in assists (4.4 apg), seventh in free throw percentage (.818), sixth in steals (1.8 spg), 10th in 3-point field goal percentage (.341) and fifth in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.7).
Robinson's first player of the week honor of the season is also Troy's fifth. Tiyah Johnson earned the honor once while Alexus Dye has been named the player of the week three times. Troy's five honors this season is the most player of the week honors in a single-season in program history. It's also the first time since the 2018-19 season that once school has won the award five times in the same season.
Women's basketball will be back in action on Friday and Saturday when they travel to Coastal Carolina to conclude the regular season.
