TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Troy wrapped play Sunday at the Seminole Intercollegiate with a 14-over 302 and the Trojans finished 14th overall in the event held at the Golden Eagle Country Club. Brent Hamm tied for 29th individually to pace the Trojans at 2-over for the weekend.
Hamm and Will McFadden finished the weekend with 10 birdies each to lead Troy, while Jarrod Johnson added eight and Ryan Morrison carded five. Hamm got off to a blistering start Sunday as he reached 3-under through his first six holes before eventually making the turn at 2-under. However, a double on No. 2 and two other bogeys around a birdie settled his card at 1-over for the day. Hamm has now played 12-of-14 rounds this season within three strokes of par.
McFadden turned in his best round of the weekend with a 2-over 74 Sunday thanks to a trio of birdies, including two before making the turn and one on his final hole of the day. He finished in a tie for 56th place at 9-over par, while Johnson ended the tournament tied for 69th place at 8-over after shooting 75 on Sunday.
Host-Florida State led wire-to-wire and took home the team title in the event which featured six top 25 programs. No. 13 Oklahoma State finished nine shots back in second place and No. 1 Oklahoma was 14 shots behind the Seminoles in third.
