Felmas Koranga Tabbed Sun Belt Player of the Week

TROY, Ala. – After helping erase a 24-point deficit in Troy's win over Jackson State, Felmas Koranga has been tabbed the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
With the accolade, the Trojans have won back-to-back player of the week honors after Amber Leggett was received the award last week.
"Felmas is so deserving of this honor," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "She is a super talented player who gives her all every game. It's really nice to see her recognized as the Sun Belt Player of the Week!"
Koranga led the Trojans with 22 points and 17 boards in the Trojans' 99-82 win over Jackson State last Monday. The victory was Troy's third Top-100 NET victory of the season.
The junior played a pivotal role in Troy's comeback efforts during a 39-point third quarter, where she played all 10 minutes and tallied eight points and five rebounds.
The Nakuru, Kenya native also added a career-high seven steals and three blocks.
Koranga and the Trojans return to action after the break when they open conference action at home against Coastal Carolina on Thursday, Dec. 30. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m.
