Trojans Wrap Up Regular Season With Weekend Trip to Georgia

TROY, Ala. – The Trojans wrap up the Sun Belt regular season with a trip to the peach state to take on Georgia Southern on November 12 at 5:00, followed by the regular-season finale against Georgia State November 13, at 5:30.
"This is an exciting weekend with seeding implications on the line for all the teams," head coach Josh Lauer said. "I'm expecting great competition as we finish up the regular season with two important matches."
Troy has squared off with both teams once thus far this season, with the Trojans winning a five-set thriller over Georgia Southern back on October 15 from Trojan arena and falling to the Panthers on October 16 in four sets.

Her 989 total assists sit at 14th in the nation.
- Julia Brooks has a .296 hitting percentage which puts her sixth among all players in the Sun Belt. Her 3.23 kills per set ranks fifth to go along 3.84 points per set, good enough for fourth among all players in the SBC. She had a career-high 24 kills in the win against Georgia Southern in the last outing.
- Alison Siersma ranks second in the Sun Belt with .45 aces per set
- In the rally-scoring era, Cheyenne Hayes became the Trojan's all-time leader in kills during Troy's 3-1 match win over Chattanooga earlier in the season, passing Meghan Gilroy.
- Hayes now has 1607 kills in her career, which puts her second all-time. Hayes is 37 kills away from being the all-time leader in Trojan history. Earlier in the year, Cheyenne Hayes became the fifth Trojan in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. In addition, Hayes is the third Trojan ever to surpass 1500 kills in their career.
