Volleyball Receives AVCA Team Academic Award, Honor Roll Recognition

TROY, Ala. - Troy volleyball earned its eighth consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, the organization announced Thursday.
The Trojans also earned a spot on the Honor Roll, which is given to the programs ranking in the top 20 percent of team GPAs. This marks the seventh time in the past eight years Troy has received Honor Roll recognition.
The team posted a 3.76 GPA during the 2025-26 academic year; the highest among Troy's athletic programs.
To qualify for an AVCA Team Academic Award, teams must maintain a GPA of 3.30 or higher.
The 2026 Troy volleyball season kicks off on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m., when the Trojans host Mercer as part of the Troy Invitational. The Cardinal and White will also take on North Alabama (Aug. 29) and Alabama State (Aug. 30) during the opening weekend.
