TROY, Ala. – Troy is set to send two athletes to compete at the Samford Multi Thursday in Birmingham. Maja Kuessner and Ines Garcia are set to compete at the Birmingham CrossPlex beginning at 10 a.m.

The pair will compete in a pentathlon throughout the day. The indoor pentathlon consists of the 60m hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and the 800m.
Kuessner, a freshman, had a strong start to her collegiate career last weekend at the Blazer Invite, setting a school record in the high jump with a leap of 1.74m. Garcia began her season with personal bests in the 60m hurdles (9.17) and the high jump (1.50m) at the Blazer Invite last weekend.
