Kuessner, Garcia Have Strong Outings at Samford Multi

FULL RESULTS
Birmingham, Ala. – Maja Kuessner and Ines Garcia wrapped up a day at the Samford Multi, competing in the women's indoor pentathlon. Kuessner finished in the top-five in three events and totaled 2898 points while Garcia tallied two top-five finishes and posted 2621 points on the day.
Kuessner (9.01) and Garcia (9.17) both started the day strong with second and fourth places finishes, respectively, in the 60m hurdles. Kuessner also placed third in the high jump (1.68m) and fifth in the shot put (11.07m).
Garcia placed eighth in the long jump (4.70m) before closing out the day with a fourth-place finish in the 800m (2:30.59).
Troy returns to action Sunday at the KMS Invite at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
