Khalil McClain Selected to Participate in NFLPA Collegiate Bowl

TROY, Ala. – Troy wide receiver Khalil McClain was added to the 2021 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl roster late Wednesday afternoon. The annual event, which is scheduled for Jan. 13-14, is being held virtually this year due to COVID-19.

McClain finished his two-year career at Troy with 77 catches for 945 yards and 13 touchdowns. His 13 touchdown receptions are the 14^th most in school history while his 5.92 touchdown/reception ratio is the fourth lowest in program history among receivers with at least 12 touchdown receptions.

A former college quarterback, McClain led Troy in touchdown receptions each of the last two seasons, and he was tied for 24^th nationally with his 13 touchdown catches the last two seasons.

The first evening of "NFLPA U" featured former NFL general manager John Dorsey sharing his perspective on the draft process, what management looks for when evaluating prospects and much more.

A collection of NFL stars, including Cam Jordan, Adrian Peterson, Deion Sanders, Mike Singletary, Steve Smith Sr. and Michael Vick, joined Wednesday's session of "X's and O's with The Pros." Participants were grouped by position and sent to a virtual huddle room featuring both an active player and NFL legend, who shared valuable wisdom about what it takes to succeed at the pro level.

On the second evening, a panel of top athletes from various sports, including All-Pro running back Todd Gurley and WNBA star Candace Parker, will engage in an unfiltered discussion about important topics, such as leveraging your brand, social justice, using your platform for good and more.

The two days of events will be emceed by ESPN college football host, reporter and analyst Maria Taylor as well as Super Bowl champion and ESPN NFL analyst Ryan Clark, respectively.
