CONWAY, S.C. -- The Troy Trojans women's soccer program fell 2-0 to Coastal Carolina Sunday afternoon at the CCU Soccer Complex.

The Trojans (0-3-0, 0-3-0 Sun Belt Conference) best opportunity of the match, came in the 69^th minute when defender Christianna Edwards ripped a shot that Coastal (2-1-0, 2-1-0 Sun Belt Conference) goalkeeper Ky Hudson made a strong save on.

In defeat, freshman Lindsey LaRoche made four saves. For the match, the Trojans were outshot 11-9, despite having a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.

After a physical start to the match, the Trojans had the first scoring opportunity of the afternoon, when freshman Erin Bloomfield ripped a shot that Hudson was able to make a save on in the 13^th minute.

Just five minutes later, Coastal Carolina found the back of the net, when Loranna Austin's shot eluded LaRoche.

The Chants and Trojans continued to battle down the final moments of the first half, but neither was able to find the back of the net.

Midway through the second half, Austin would double the Coastal Carolina lead when she found the back of the net in the 77^th minute.

The Trojans return to action Friday night against Georgia State. Kick-off from the Troy Soccer Complex is set for 7 p.m.
