Exclusive Troy Mask Among Safety Precautions in Place for Football Kickoff Party

TROY, Alabama – Troy fans who attend the 2020 Troy Football Kickoff Party on Saturday, Aug. 15, will receive an exclusive Troy mask and will be able enjoy the unofficial start to the athletic season on the turf of The Vet with a unique setup to promote social distancing.

The Troy branded face masks (a $20 value) will be provided to each guest, and the Football Kickoff Party is the only place where fans can get these specific masks.

Additionally, tables will be set up on the field of The Vet to allow fans to comfortably social distance while still enjoying the free food and beverages that are associated with the evening's festivities. For fans not wishing to attend the event but still be eligible for the $10,000 grand prize and support the Troy Football program, Troy Athletics will provide a proxy to take their place.

Fans are encouraged to wear gameday attire to the Kickoff Party due to the event being outside. Fans will be treated to a special gameday menu for dinner plus complementary beverages will be available throughout the evening. There will be a live and silent auction during the event with several exclusive items up from grabs including a signed DeMarcus Ware jersey.Â

"This is going to be an amazing evening and a special opportunity for our fans to experience a night under the lights at The Vet," Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. "The Football Kickoff Party has served as the unofficial start to the athletic season for many years, and we wanted to make sure that Trojan Nation still has the opportunity to celebrate the upcoming season while doing so in a safe environment."
