Women's Basketball Jumps Six Spots in Mid-Major Poll

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball jumped six spots in this week's College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 Poll, announced by the organization Tuesday evening. After debuting at No. 22 last week, the Trojans jumped to No. 16 in the latest rankings.
This marks the second straight week Troy has been ranked in the mid-major top 25, and first February ranking since 2016. Troy was joined by Drexel out of the Colonial Athletic Association as the biggest movers this week, each improving six spots. Troy is 17-3 on the year, its best start in program history, including an 8-1 Sun Belt record, also a program best start as members of the Sun Belt Conference.

Program High Ranking: Eighth back on Dec. 6, 2016
Longest Program Streak: 2016, 16 straight weeks from the Preseason (17th) to week 14 (25th)
The Trojans will conclude their four-game home stand Wednesday night when they host ULM at 6 p.m. Special promotions for the game include $1 tickets, Free t-shirts for the first 250 fans and free Troy Koozie's for the first 200 students in attendance.
