Women's Basketball Ranked 11th in Preseason Mid-Major Top-25

TROY, Ala. – With the 2020-21 season officially underway across the country, Troy women's basketball will enter the season opener on Friday ranked 11th in the preseason mid-major top-25 poll, announced by the organization Wednesday.
The Trojans made their debut last season on Jan. 29 amid the best season in program history before ending the year ranked 13th in the final poll. Troy's ranking in the final poll marked the first time in program history that the Trojans had been ranked in the final poll of the season.
Troy, the preseason pick to win the Sun Belt Conference and East Division, is the only Sun Belt program to earn a national preseason ranking. Coastal Carolina, Little Rock and UTA are receiving votes.

Troy's season will officially tipoff on Friday at 6 p.m. when the Trojans take on SE Louisiana in the 33rd Annual Lady Eagle Thanksgiving Classic in Hattiesburg, Miss. After a game with Alabama A&M on Saturday.
