Women's Tennis Opens Season with Strong Showing at Mercer

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's tennis picked up seven victories on the first day of the Mercer Classic in Macon, Ga.
The Trojans excelled in doubles play on Friday, winning all three of the doubles competitions including two that were decided by six points or more.
In singles competition the Trojans found themselves on the winning side in four separate matches. Matea Mihaljevic and Anastasiia Khrustaleva were both perfect on the afternoon, each posting spotless singles records of 2-0. When added to their doubles record both Mihaljevic and Khrusttaleva were a perfect 3-0 on the day.
