Troy Crowns Four Champions at KMS Invite

FULL RESULTS
Birmingham, Ala. – Both the Troy men's and women's track and field teams posted impressive outings at the KMS Invitational Sunday in Birmingham. Four trojans claimed individual event crowns for the second meet in a row.
Troy's dominance in the men's weight throw continued Sunday, only this time it was Caleb Brown with a top mark of 18.61m. Edita Sklenska took the women's 800m crown with a time of 2:13.10 seconds.
After threatening for a top spot in each of the past two weeks. Jasmine Riley and Precious Ogba finally broke through. Riley took first in the women's 200m dash with a time of 24.53 seconds while Ogba's time of 56.92 seconds was good for the top spot in the women's 400m dash.
Other solid outings from the Trojans included a second-place finish by Casimir Tawiah in the men's 60m hurdles and a third-place finish by Samara Nelson in the women's shot put. Hakim Montgomery secured another podium finish for Troy in the men's 60m dash with a time of 6.85.
The women's distance medley and 4x400m relay closed out the day by finishing second and third, respectively.
After a week off, Troy returns to action Feb. 7 and 8 at the Camel City Invite in Winston-Salem, N.C.
