TROY, Ala. -- The Troy Trojans soccer program returns home this weekend for a pair of games against Georgia State (Friday, 7 p.m.) and ULM (Sunday, 1 p.m.).
Friday's matchup with Georgia State is the Trojans first home contest in over three weeks. The Trojans last played at Troy Soccer Complex on Sept. 5, defeating Jacksonville State 2-1.
Troy closed out the longest road trip of the year (Sept. 8-Sept. 22) last weekend with a pair of road contests at Appalachian State and at Coastal Carolina.
Last Friday, the Trojans and Mountaineers battled to a physical 1-1 draw. Sophomore Kate Eubanks scored her third goal of the season to give Troy a late 1-0 lead. App State found an answer just a few minutes later, and the game remained tied through the two overtime periods.
On Sunday, Troy suffered a tough 2-1 loss at Coastal Carolina. After falling behind 1-0, the Trojans answered when Kendra Cashion blasted a shot into the left-hand corner of the net. Coastal later found in the game winner in the 79th minute. The loss was the first time that the Trojans allowed a second-half goal and didn't answer with a goal.
Following this weekend's matches with Georgia State and ULM, the Trojans wrap-up the home stand with matchups against South Alabama (Oct. 4) and Georgia Southern (Oct. 6).
