TROY, Ala. – Just days off a record-setting performance at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, the Troy men's golf team returns to the links with a trip to the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate hosted by Louisiana Tech at the Squire Creek Golf Club.
Troy finished the season-opening tournament at 23-under par to establish a new school record for 54 holes while the 271 team score also established a new mark. Connor Futrell and Will McFadden also rewrote the record book as the duo each carded a 7-under 64; the lowest roundz in school history.
Futrell, McFadden and Jake Tiffin finished third, fourth and fifth, respectively, for the Trojans, at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate. Tiffin shot under par in all three rounds as the Trojans combined for seven rounds below the par-71 threshold in the tournament.
Sophomore Nicklas Borrmann slides into the lineup this weekend after shooting 7-over as an individual in the opener; he shot a pair of even-par rounds before slipping in the final round. Brent Hamm rounds out the lineup following a steady opener where he shot 5-over. Bryson Bianco will make his season debut as an individual in the event, and Ryan Morrison will also play as an individual.
