2019 Troy Soccer Schedule Announced

TROY, Alabama – Troy soccer will open the 2019 season at home in the Trojan Classic as head coach Ged O'Connor announced the team's schedule on Monday.
The Trojans will play eight games at the Troy Soccer Complex, including matches against Jackson State (Aug. 23) and Tennessee Tech (Aug. 25) in the Trojan Classic to open the season. Troy will also host Jacksonville State (Sept. 5) in non-conference play before seeing Sun Belt foes Georgia State (Sept. 27), ULM (Sept. 29), South Alabama (Oct. 4), and Georgia Southern (Oct. 6).
The non-conference road slate is highlighted by a trip to The Plains to take on Auburn on Sept. 8. Troy will square off against Stetson (Aug. 30) and UAB (Sept. 1) in Mobile as part of the Jaguar Classic. Road tilts at Southern (Sept. 13) and Jacksonville (Sept. 15) round out the non-Sun Belt schedule.
With Jacksonville State, Auburn, UAB, and South Alabama on the docket, Troy will have played four in-state opponents in each of last three seasons, second-most in program history.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Sun Belt Conference Soccer Championships will be played at the Foley Sports and Tourism Complex from Nov. 6-Nov. 10.
The team is led by seniors Kate Lorenz, Kiersten Edlund, Nathali DaSilva, Maddie Brune, and Miranda Schoening.
