Â
Little Rock (21-22, 13-7 Sun Belt) kept the Trojans' (22-22,10-11 Sun Belt) bats quiet as the Little Rock's starter did not give up a hit until the sixth inning.Â
Â
Senior Sadler Goodwin (3-6) had a rough outing on the mound giving up four runs on eight hits in five innings of work. Senior Rush Hixon came in and kept Little Rock in check as he finished the game with three strikeouts and two hits in three innings.Â

Little Rock jumped out to an early 3-0 lead at the end of the first inning highlighted by a two-run home run to right field by the designated hitter Riley Pittman. Ryan Benavidez hit a solo shot in the fifth to increase Little Rock's lead to 4-0.Â
Â
Troy showed a lot of fight in the sixth as Early scored the Trojans' first run off a wild pitch before junior Drew Frederic recorded a sacrifice fly to bring Troy within two. Sinquefield followed behind with a single to center field, Troy's first hit of the game, that drove in the Trojans' last run of the contest.Â
Â
The Trojans tried to muster up the tying run in the ninth as senior Chase Smartt hit a two-out double to right center field to keep Troy's hope alive but a pop fly to third ended the game.Â
