Rivalry Match: Troy Plays Host to South Alabama Wednesday

TROY, Alabama – Troy women's tennis will play host to rival South Alabama Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.

South Alabama (14-2, 3-1 SBC) are a game out of first in the Sun Belt standings, while the Trojans (8-7, 2-2) are two back with six matches to play.

Troy is looking to rebound after stumbling on the road at Coastal Carolina and Appalachian State over the weekend. The Trojans had won four straight heading into the road swing, including wins over conference foes Texas State and UT Arlington.

The Jaguars have won four of their last five matches led by Yu Fujioka, who has won her last nine matches and is 10-1 on the season. For the Trojans Pei Ju Hseigh and Chunxi Guo continue to dominate in doubles action posting a 12-1 record on the season.

Troy fell to South Alabama twice last season, including a 4-1 decision in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament.
