Men's Golf Climbs on Final Day of UNA Spring Classic

Final Results
KILLEN, Alabama – Ike Alexander carded four birdies en route to an even par 72 to lead Troy in Tuesday's final round of the UNA Spring Classic at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. Troy climbed three spots into fourth place while Alexander and Jake Tiffin turned in top-10 individual finishes.
Tiffin added four birdies to his tally on Tuesday to finish the 54-hole event with a tournament-best 15 birdies. He carded a 5-over 77 in the final round after shooting 2-under in Monday's first two rounds.
Alexander tied Tiffin for 10thplace overall at 3-over par for the week, which is the best finish of his career. He raced out to 3-under following the first six holes of the day before settling back in at even par.
Three Trojans finished among the top five in the field in birdies as Brent Hamm tie for second with 14 and Dean Martin tied for fifth with 12. Overall, Troy finished third in the field with 46 birdies as a team.
Hamm had an eventful round with six birdies, eight bogeys and just four pars to shoot 2-over on the day and finish tied for 21stoverall. Connor Futrell rebounded from a rocky opening day to shoot 2-under on Tuesday while Will McFadden carded a 5-over 77; the duo tied for 46thplace.
North Alabama won the team title for eight shots over Belmont and 14 shots over Jacksonville State.
Troy has one more tune up before the Sun Belt Conference Championship as the Trojans head to the Shoal Creek Invitational on April 15-16.
