Final Results
BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – The Troy men's golf team finished in 14th place at the Shoal Creek Invitational which wrapped play on Tuesday at the Shoal Creek Country Club.
Freshman Brent Hamm led the Trojans as he tied for 39th place after shooting an opening round 1-under; he finished 8-over for the tournament. Play was halted in the first round Monday evening with teams still on the course due to slow play after heavy storms hammered the area on Sunday.
Dean Martin tied for 44t hplace after finishing 9-over for the week with a low round of 2-over on his second trip through the course. Connor Futrell shot a 1-under 71 in the final round to bounce back from a disappointing 83 in round two; he finished in a tie for 55th place. Will McFadden finished 82nd place and Jake Tiffin finished 86th.
Troy heads to a familiar sight next week as the Trojans travel to Miramar Beach, Fla., and The Raven Golf Course at Sandestin for the Sun Belt Conference Championship.
