BOONE, N.C. – Troy was defeated by Appalachian State, 4-1, on Sunday at Boone Courts to complete their east coast swing.

Appalachian State's Jeannez Daniel defeated Troy's Celia Montero Estevan, 6-0, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4, on Court 4 to secure the victory for the Mountaineers. Troy fell to 8-7 (2-2) while Appalachian State improved to 10-4 (4-0) on the year.

DOUBLES
• Chunxi Guo and Pei Ju Hsieh defeated Swope and Zacarias, 6-2. Guo and Hsieh improved to 13-1 on the season.
• In the second doubles match, Anglesjo and Sevo handed Tingting Pei and Matea Mihaljevic a 6-2 loss.
• Daniel and Morse won the doubles match point for the Mountaineers over Estevan and Maria Casas Blas, 6-3.

SINGLES
• Pei claimed Troy's lone victory in singles play over Zacarias, 6-4, 6-4.
• Casas Blas was put down Morse, 6-4, 6-1 to put App State 2-1.
• Mihaljevic was defeated by Sevo in a tight match on Court 3, 6-4, 7-6.
• Daniel defeated Estevan to secure the match victory for the Mountaineers, 6-0, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4.
