Men's Golf Set for UNA Spring Classic

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's golf team continues its spring schedule with a trip to the UNA Spring Classic at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club on Monday and Tuesday; teams faced a late venue change due to unplayable conditions at the original course.
The Trojans are coming off a ninth-place finish at the ECU Invitational where Connor Futrell tied for 13thplace to pace Troy; his third top finish in six events this year. Futrell enters the UNA Spring Classic with a team-best 1.06 score vs. par and five rounds under par.
Dean Martin has also had a solid campaign with a pair of rounds under par and a 2.00 score vs. par. The senior is the lone Trojan with all his rounds counting towards the team card this season. Brent Hamm will get his second start of the spring as he enters the week with a 3.63 score vs. par on the season.
Head coach Bart Barnes will also call upon freshman Will McFadden and his three rounds under par this year along with Ike Alexander to round out the lineup. Alexander is making his first appearance of the spring and third overall. Jake Tiffin will play as an individual for the Trojans.

Teams will play a shotgun start for Monday's 36 holes and will play in foursomes. Troy is scheduled to go off holes one thru five beginning at 8:15 a.m. along with North Alabama, Jacksonville State and DePaul.
