CONWAY, South Carolina –Troy's offense continued to dominate recording 17 hits to down Coastal Carolina, 10-4, in the Sun Belt series-clinching game Saturday afternoon at Charles Wade- John Lott Field.

Kaylee Hussey, Katie Lively and Talia Truitt led the offensive push with three hits each and combining for six RBIs, while Kaylee Chapman, Katie Webb and Stephanie Snyder all added a pair of hits.

Troy (20-13, 4-4 Sun Belt) jumped on the board quickly in the top of the first inning scoring two runs with hits by Snyder, Hussey and Lively.

Coastal Carolina (23-8, 4-4) answered in the bottom half of the inning after Taylor Sweigart, who led off with a double and came around to score off of a sacrifice fly.

Hits by Chapman, Truitt and Snyder added another run for the Trojans in the top of the second.

A home run by Sydney Guess in the bottom of the fourth cut Troy's lead in half, but a huge four-run inning solidified the victory in the top of the fifth.

The Trojans scoring was capped off with a run in the sixth and two runs in the seventh with hits by Truitt, Snyder, Hussey and Lively.

Annie Willis (6-7) earned the victory for Troy scattering five hits and sitting down seven batters while Ashley Guillette (9-3) suffered the loss after giving up three runs off of four hits.

The series finale is set for 11 a.m. (CT) Sunday at Charles Wade- John Lott Field.
