TROY, Alabama – Troy defeated UT Arlington, 4-3, on Sunday at the Lunsford Tennis Complex to extend its winning streak to four matches.

Matea Mihaljevic defeated UTA's Momoka Horiguchi in thrilling fashion, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6, to secure the team's second conference victory. Troy improved to 8-5 (2-0) while UT Arlington fell to 9-5 (0-2) on the year.

The four-match winning streak is the longest of the season for the Trojans.

DOUBLES
• Chunxi Guo and Pei Ju Hsieh defeated Horiguchi and Carla Pons, 6-2, to kick off double action. Guo and Hsieh are now 12-0 and remain the only undefeated duo in the Sun Belt Conference (min. 3 decisions).
• Celia Montero Estevan and Maria Casas Blas won the doubles match point over Almudena Boza and Carla Vives, 7-6, and have won three straight doubles outings.

SINGLES
• Tingting Pei won her third straight singles match as she defeated Lucia Natal, 6-4, 7-6. The result completes a 3-0 weekend for Pei.
• Estevan took down Nanaka Takeuchi in come-from-behind fashion, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1.
• Hsieh was defeated by Pons, 6-3, 6-3, snapping her eight-game singles streak.
• Casas Blas went to the wire for the Trojans, but was defeated, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 by Liz Chileno.
• UTA's Boza fought back to drop Guo, 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 on court six setting up a winner-take-all match on court one.
• Mihaljevic defeated Horiguchi in a nail-biter to secure the match victory for the Trojans, 4-6, 7-5, 7-6.
