Troy Set to Host Trio of Weekend Matches

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's tennis team has an action-packed weekend ahead as Grambling State, Texas State and UT Arlington visit the Lunsford Tennis Complex.

The Trojans (5-5) take on Grambling State at 1 p.m. Friday in the final non-conference match of the season. Sun Belt foe Texas State visits Saturday for a 10 a.m. first serve and UT Arlington comes to town for a 10 a.m. Sunday match.

Troy defeated Bethune-Cookman in its last match, 4-1. Maria Casas Blas defeated BCU's Karen Romero, 6-2, 6-2 to secure the victory. Chunxi Guo and Pei Ju Hsieh made the move from court two to court one and kept their perfect double record in take improving to 9-0 on the season.

Texas State (4-5) knocked off Missouri State, 4-3, Sunday. The Bobcats and the Trojans have not met on the tennis court since the 2014 Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

UT Arlington (9-3) has dropped two of its last three matches since winning eight of its first nine to start the seasons. The Mavericks visit the Lunsford Tennis Complex for the first time.
