TROY, Alabama –Troy and Mercer fought to final set, but the Trojans fell, 4-3, Saturday at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.

Mercer's Katie Sidor defeater Troy's Matea Mihaljevic, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, to clinch the match for the Bears. Troy fell to 2-2 while Mercer improved to 4-3 on the year.

DOUBLES
• Maeva Roquebert and Alara Holleyfield rolled past Celia Montero Estevan and Maria Casas Blas, 6-0, to open double play.
• Matea Mihaljevic and Tingting Pei pulled things level with a 6-3 win over Katie Sidor Lucia Gutierrez.
• Chunxi Guo and Pei Ju Hsieh clinched the double point for Troy with a 6-3 victory over Celine Schepers and Anna Sovic.

SINGLES
• Estevan fell to Roquebert to open singles play, 6-4, 6-1.
• Hsieh topped Anna Sovic, 6-2, 6-0.
• Hollyfield tied the match at two points each with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Pei.
• Schepers gave Mercer a 3-2 advantage knocking off Guo, 6-2, 6-4.
• Casas Blas pulled Troy even beating Gutierrez, 6-2, 6-3.
• Sidor and Mihaljevic went to the wire before Sidor pulled out the win, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.
