Troy Set to Host Pair of Weekend Matches

TROY, Alabama – Troy women's tennis hosts Mercer and Southern Miss over the weekend at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
The Trojans take on Mercer at 11 a.m. on Saturday before battling with Southern Miss at 10 a.m. Sunday. Troy (2-1) defeated Alabama State, 6-1, on the road in their last match marking the seventh straight win over the Hornets in the all-time series.
Mercer (2-7) knocked off Alabama State on Feb. 3, but fell at North Florida, 5-2, last Friday. Southern Miss (5-0) has dropped just three points in five matches and are coming off a, 7-0, sweep of Grambling State on Thursday.
Matea Mihaljevic and Tingting Ping are each 3-0 in singles action this season for the Trojans, while Pei Ju Hsieh and Chunxi Guo have yet to drop a matchup in three doubles outings.
