TROY, Ala.- Trojans completed day one of the FSU All-Conference Showdown in Tallahassee, Fla.
Singles Play
· Sophomore Chunxi Guo started off the day facing off against Thea Rice of Arkansas, with a result of 7-5, 6-4 in favor of Thea Rice.
Coming Up in Singles
· Guo will now take on Selin Yaylali of South Florida Saturday when action picks back up.
· Shevita Aulana will begin singles play action against Danni Vines of Furman at 9:00 tomorrow morning.
Doubles Play
· Pei Ju Hsieh and Tijana Svitlica paired up to start the day off against Maryann Rompf and Georgie Walker of Furman, defeating the pair by a score of 6-4.
· Pei Ju Hsieh and Tijana Svitlica then faced off against Melilo/Montano of North Florida, losing by a score of 6-1.
· Shevita Aulana and Chunxi Guo paired up and lost their opening doubles match 7-6 (5) to Melissa Pick and Miruna Tudor of Wisconsin-Madison.
· Shevita Aulana and Chunxi Guo then competed against Garriques-Melendez/Timmermans of South Florida, losing by a score of 7-6 (4).
Coming Up in Doubles
· Hsieh and Svitlica will take on the pair of Martin/Turkovic from Central Florida.
· Guo and Aulana will compete against La Fuente/Lavery of Tulane
