TROY, Ala.- Trojans wrapped up play at the Roberta Alison Classic hosted by the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala., where the Trojans saw team performance in both singles and doubles.
Singles Play
· Freshman Tijana Svitlica completed a perfect tournament by defeating Karen Alvarez of Iowa State by a score of 6-2, 6-0
· Sophomore Chunxi Guo faced off aginsit Taylor Dean of KSU, losing the match by a score of 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4)
· Pei Ju Hsieh played against Melissa Pick of Wisconsin in singles play, losing the match by a score of 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-4
· Anastasiia Khokhlova faced Yunuen Elizarraras of ETSU, winning the match by a score of 6-4, 6-2
· Shevita Aulana defeated Leslie Soto Bustamante of South Alabama after Bustamante withdrew.
· Matea Mihaljevic faced off against Valeria Nikolaev of Mississippi State, ultimately losing 6-1, 7-5
Doubles Play
· Shevita Aulana and Matea Mihaljevic paired up in round robin play once again in two matches. In their first match, the pair faced Andrade/Popova of Alabama State losing by a score of 6-2. The pair then faced Castellanos/Jarrett of Kennesaw State, winning the match 6-2.
· Chunxi Guo and Pei Ju Hsieh paired up and won their match against Bernard and Mckamey of Indiana by a score of 6-1.
· Anastasiia Khokhlova and Tijana Svitlica fought against Aubin and Sakuri of UTM, winning by a score of 6-2.
