Trojans Complete Day Two of Play in Baton Rouge

Singles Main Draw and Back Draw
TROY, Ala..- Trojans completed Day 2 of the ITA Southern Regionals, where Troy saw a lot of success in singles play.
In singles play, junior Matea Mihaljevic was taken to three sets by Marlene Hermann of UAB and defeated Hermann 6-0, 6-7, 7-6. Mihaljevic will now take on Taylor Russo of Auburn in the next round. Junior Pei Ju Hsieh also advanced to the next round with a 6-4. 6-3 win over Anna Selim of Alabama. Pei Ju Hsieh will now take on Emma Antonaki of Mississippi State in the second round. Shevita Aulana faced off against the 12-seed Anna Vrbenska of Ole Miss and lost 6-0, 6-1. Play will continue from Baton Rouge today with second round action.
Then Shevita Aulana played Carlotta Romito of McNeese State and defeated her 6-3, 7-5 in back draw play. Aulana will now await an opponent in back draw play. Anastasiia Khrustaleva competed against Dominika Hrabalova of UAB and lost 6-2, 6-2 in back draw play.
