Troy Track and Field Back in Action Sunday

TROY, Alabama – Troy indoor track and field is returning to Birmingham this weekend as it is set to compete in the seventh annual Emory CrossPlex Invitational Sunday.

Track events are set to begin at 9:30 am with the 5000m run. The field events will also kick off at 9:30 am with the men's weight throw and the women to follow. Action will continue throughout the day and will conclude with the men's and women's 4x400m relay at 7:20 pm.

Troy will compete against 31 other schools on Sunday, including in-state foes Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama State, Birmingham-Southern.

Last time out, a trio of student-athletes turned in record-breaking performances at the UAB Blazer Invite against some of the top competition in the Southeast. Tiarra Bailey set the school's indoor 600m record, while sophomores Jared Hayes and Precious Ogba set the men's and women's indoor 300m records, respectively.
