FLORENCE, Alabama – Troy fell in its final non-conference game of the season, 2-0, to North Alabama at the Bill Jones Athletic Complex on Sunday.

After a rather uneventful first half, North Alabama spiced things up with a goal in the 29^thminute. The Lions (6-4-0) took a corner that was cleared by the Trojan defense, but not quite out of danger. Kylie Huey collected the loose ball and sent a lob into the box that found the head of Margarida Sousa, who scored her third goal of the season.

Troy (2-7-1) couldn't get much going offensively and was outshot 14-5 in the game. Freshman goalkeeper Acelya Aydogmus did her best to keep the Trojans in the game with several nice saves, but was outnumbered and beaten in the 88^thminute as the Lions put the game out of reach.

The Trojans entered the game having earned a Sun Belt-high 39 corners, but managed just one on the game while surrendering 10 to UNA.

Troy returns home to face Sun Belt foes Appalachian State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Coastal Carolina at 1 p.m.
