Troy Clipped By Chattanooga

TROY, Alabama – Troy could not find a rhythm offensively and surrendered three frustrating goals in a 3-0 loss to Chattanooga at the Troy Soccer Complex on Sunday.
The Trojans (1-3-0) matched the Mocs' seven shots in the game, but were only able to put two on target. Chattanooga (3-1-0), however, took advantage of defensive breakdowns to pull out the three-goal victory.
In the seventh minute, Catherine Meyer saved the ball from going out on the end line to the left of goal and sent an off-balance pass across the six-yard box to Chloe Arnold at the far post, who tapped it in for the opening score. The Mocs really shifted the momentum with just six seconds to go in the half when Hollie Massey rushed to take a corner and found Masey Fox near post to double the lead just before the break.
Troy was able to create six corners in the second half but failed the break through on the scoreboard. Natalie Melillo was the lone Trojan to challenge the keeper with two of her three shots landing on target.
