12 Trojans Qualify for NCAA East Preliminary

TROY, Alabama – Troy outdoor track and field will be well represented at the NCAA East Preliminary as nine men and three women will compete in the event at the USF Track and Field Stadium in Tampa, Fla., May 24-26.
Hakim Montgomery will make his third consecutive trip to the postseason in the 100-meter dash. On the track, the Trojans will also send Jared Hayes in the 200-meter, Amir Harris in the 400-meter and Jovan Brown in the 400-meter hurdles. The Sun Belt Champion 4x100 relay team will also compete at the meet.
Titus Sizemore and Michael Alvernaz will make both make return trips to compete in the high jump and hammer throw events, respectively.
On the women's side, Precious Ogba will run in the 400-meter dash, while thrower Jaevyn Wortham and multi-event athlete Riley Schwietz are set to compete in the discus throw and javelin.
