Troy Earns No. 4 Seed at Sun Belt Men’s Tennis Championship

TROY, Alabama – The Troy men's tennis team has been slotted as the No. 4 seed for the Sun Belt Conference Championship which gets underway at the Peachtree City (Ga.) Tennis Center on Friday.
The Trojans (11-10) have won six of their last eight matches heading into Tuesday's Senior Day contest against ABCA. Troy opens the Sun Belt Championship against No. 5 Georgia Southern at 2 p.m. (CT) Friday in a rematch of a 4-2 Troy victory back on March 27 in Statesboro.
The winner of the first round matchup will advance to play the winner of No. 1 Georgia State and No. 8 Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 2 p.m. Troy has not played Georgia State this season, but handed Coastal a 4-1 defeat on March 16. The championship match is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday. The semifinal and championship matches will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
The other first round matches pit No. 2 Louisiana against No. 7 Appalachian State and No. 3 South Alabama against No. 6 UT Arlington.
