Rivers has led the team in scoring for the majority of the season and ranks seventh in the league averaging 14.2 points per game. The Birmingham native is third in the league with a 48.2 field goal percentage and 10th averaging 6.0 rebounds per contest. Rivers has scored in double figures in 24 of 29 games and has led the Trojans in scoring 10 times.
Robinson flourished after taking over the starting point guard role midway through the season. Averaging 13.0 points and 3.9 assists per game, the Clyo, Ga., native is the only player in Sun Belt Conference history to earn three consecutive Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week awards, which she did on Jan. 29, Feb. 5 and Feb.12. During that eight-game span, Robinson raised her scoring average by 4.5 points from 9.5 to 13.0. Since becoming an everyday starter, Troy is 10-3 and Robinson is averaging 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game.
Holmes is fourth in the league averaging 6.0 rebounds per game and is second with 3.5 offensive rebounds per contest. The Tyler Junior College, product posted 21 rebounds against Louisiana, one shy of tying the program's Division I record of 22 set by Caitlyn Ramirez last season. Holmes has turned in five double-double and finished with double digit boards seven times.
10 Trojans have been named All-Sun Belt under head coach Chanda Rigby since her arrival in 2012, while Holmes becomes the first Troy player since the school joined the Sun Belt in 2005 to win an individual postseason award.
Troy (17-12, 12-6 Sun Belt) enters the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as the No. 4 seed and opens play on Thursday at 2 p.m. against the winner of the No. 5 South Alabama-No. 12 ULM game.
