Women’s Tennis Set for Pair of Conference Matches

TROY, Alabama- The Troy women's tennis team (3-9, 1-1 SBC) hits the road again for two Sun Belt matches in Conway, S.C. The Trojans will face in-state foe South Alabama on Saturday at 9 a.m. and will finish the weekend against Georgia State on Sunday at 8 a.m.
Troy looks to improve on its 1-1 Sun Belt record, after a great victory over UTA 4-3 on the road during spring break. Senior Efriliya Herlina has recorded the best record of the spring, going 5-5 in dual match play, spending all of her time on court two.
South Alabama has had a dominant season posting an 11-1 overall record. The Jags will face the Trojans in their first conference match of the season before taking on Georgia Southern on Saturday. Freshman Yu Fujioka is undefeated on courts three, four and five.
Georgia State makes the trip east at 8-11, winning just one of its last five matches. Freshman Elizabet Danailova has won her last six singles matches, and Kristin Rehse enters the match at 12-6 on the year on court one. Troy will look for redemption as the Panthers narrowly defeated the Trojans 4-3 last year.
