Troy Dominates In Shutout Win At UNCG

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Troy remained perfect on its current road trip by following up a 4-1 win on Monday at USC-Upstate with a 4-0 win on Monday against UNC-Greensboro.

It marked the third shutout win this year for the Trojans (7-8) and second one in March after Troy picked up the 4-0 shutout against DePaul on March 3. The win also got Troy to within one victory of .500 with eight matches remaining in the regular season.

Little could go wrong from the start as the familiar doubles pairings of Andy Lau and Amer Bedwan and Oskar Michalek and Mustapha Belcora got the doubles point with identical 6-4 wins.

Three of the matches went unfinished as Pelayo Antuna, Lau and Bedwan picked up consecutive victories in the 2-4 positions with all picking up at least one seven-point match win as the three only need two sets.
