TROY, Alabama – Troy women's tennis (2-7) will continue its Spring Break road swing with three matches in Texas. Troy is set to face conference opponent UTA on Wednesday at 2 p.m., SMU on Friday at noon in Dallas, and will close out the week with a meeting against North Texas at 11 a.m., on Saturday.
The Trojans look to rebound after a tough 4-3 loss to Mercer on Monday. Efriliya Herlina, Jiayuan Xue, and Matea Milhjevic all earned wins in singles play, but the Trojans couldn't quite overcome the Bears.
UTA is 4-3 on the year, with notable wins against UTEP and New Mexico State. Lucia Natal and Agustina Serio are both undefeated in dual match play. Serio has played all of her matches on court one, while Natal splits her time between courts five and six.
Troy will then make the short trip to Dallas to take on the 7-7 SMU Mustangs. SMU is coming off a 5-2 win over Georgia State on Sunday. Karina Traxler leads the squad with a 9-5 dual match record, winning seven of her last 10 matches, primarily playing on court three.
The road swing will come to a close as Troy takes on North Texas in Denton. The Mean Green are 4-9 on the year earning wins against South Florida, LA Tech, Iowa and Marshall.
