TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Calum Masters carded four birdies to lead Troy in Sunday's final round of the Seminole Intercollegiate at the Golden Eagle Country Club. The Trojans climbed two spots into 10th place while Connor Futrell paced Troy finishing in a tie for 37th place.
Masters finished the 54-hole event with 11 birdies following his four on Sunday, including three before making the turn. The Troy junior shot even par on the day and finished tied for 46th place overall at 10-over; he played the final 36 holes of the tournament at 1-over-par.
Futrell made the turn at 1-over after a pair of bogeys and one birdie and finished the day at 3-over following a double on No. 7. He finished the weekend with a season-best 6-over 222 as the Tallahassee native played on his home course.
Dean Martin opened with birdies on two of his first three holes and eventually made the turn at 2-over and finished the day with a 78. He tied with Masters for 46th place at 10-over for the weekend. Ike Alexander also added a pair of birdies for the Trojans and shot 3-over on the day to finish tied for 55th, while Jake Tiffin turned in his best card of the weekend with a 5-over 77 thanks to three birdies; he placed 67th.
No. 20 Florida State won the team title by nine shots over Jacksonville, while James Madison, Cincinnati and Arkansas State rounded out the top five. FSU's John Pak shot 8-under for the weekend to claim individual medalist honors.
