Troy Earns First Win At FAMU

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The first win of the season for Troy men's tennis came in dominating fashion as the Trojans traveled west to Tallahassee, Fla. to win 6-1 over Florida A&M on Friday afternoon.
Troy took two out of three doubles matches as Jiaqi Duan and Pelayo Antuna earned a hard-fought 6-4 win while Andy Lau and Amer Bedwan teamed up to cruise to a 6-2 victory in their match.
In singles play, the Trojans (1-4) had no trouble as four out of the five wins came in two sets. Antuna picked up his team-leading third win of the dual season with a 6-3 win in straight-sets.
Bedwan capped off his perfect day with a 6-4, 6-1 victory while Duan and Mustapha Belcora also had two-set wins. Troy will remain in Tallahassee on Saturday to face Stetson at noon.
