Women’s Tennis Hosts ULM and UNF

TROY, Alabama- The Troy women's tennis team (0-4) will host its first dual matches of the spring season on Friday and Sunday, Feb. 16 and 18, as the Trojans welcome Sun Belt Champion ULM and UNF to the Lunsford Tennis Complex. Friday's match against the Warhawks will take place at 1 p.m., and Sundays match is set for 10 a.m.
After a tough start on the road and battling injuries early in the season, Troy is looking to bounce back to pick up its first win in dual match play. Led by seniors Sanae Ohta, Nancy Karaky, Efriliyah Herlina and Jiayuan Xue, Troy is looing for redemption against the ULM Warhawks, who knocked them out of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament last season in the quarterfinals. ULM went on to win the title.
The Warhawks travel to Troy with a 3-3 overall record, after earning wins against Jackson State, Marshall and Alcorn State. They fell to Sun Belt opponent Georgia State 4-1 in January.
The UNF Ospreys enter the weekend 4-3 on the year with wins over New Orleans, Middle Tennessee, Florida A&M and Flagler, but they have suffered three straight losses. Troy faced UNF last season and fell 6-1.
