Troy Meets Georgia Southern Friday

TROY, Alabama – The Troy women's soccer team takes to the road to face Georgia Southern in a Sun Belt Conference match on Friday at 6 p.m. (CT).

The Trojans (2-10-1, 1-3 SBC) are coming off a disappointing 3-2 loss at Georgia State on Sunday. Ally Bayer and Kendra Cashion landed goals in the game, but the Panthers earned the game-winner with less than four minutes to play.

Georgia Southern (4-7-0, 2-2) fell, 2-0, to South Alabama in Mobile on Sunday, but destroyed ULM, 7-2, on Friday.

Troy is currently ninth in the Sun Belt standings, but only three points behind four teams – Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, South Alabama and Louisiana.

NOTEWORTHY
• Troy and Georgia Southern faced off twice last season. The Trojans dominated the Eagles on Senior Day winning 5-0, the largest margin of victory by Troy in a conference game in program history. Georgia Southern got its revenge, however, knocking Troy out of the Sun Belt Tournament with a 2-1 win in Foley.
