Troy, Ala. – Head coach Rolando Vargas announced that there will be one more addition to the men's tennis team roster in the spring.
Manuel Bernard, a native of Italy, will join the team for the upcoming season. Bernard has experience in playing at Challengers and Futures tournaments in Italy and Europe.
Quotable – Troy Head Coach Rolando Vargas
"We are looking forward to Manuel to join the Trojan family. He has a lot of experience and comes as one of the best junior players in Italy. He shares the goals that match ours, and that's why he is a good fit for our program. Besides, he has the character we are looking for, and he is a good student. His UTR has been as high as 12.70, so he will make an impact in our lineup right away!"
The Trojans will start their season on Jan.19 at 1 p.m. in a home match against West Alabama. For more information on Troy men's tennis, follow along on Twitter and Instagram at @TroyTrojansMT.
