JACKSON, Miss. – The Troy women's soccer team dominated Jackson State from the first whistle until the last en rout to a 9-0 victory at the JSU Soccer Complex on Sunday.

Troy (2-3) got goals from eight different players with Alison Watkins scoring twice, while 24 players saw action. The Trojans tallied 37 shots in the match, tied for sixth-most in program history. Kate Lorenz opened the scoring in the 11th minute while Troy went on the land four more goals in the first half alone.

Jackson State (0-5) managed just four shots in the game with two being on target.

"Very happy to keep a clean sheet coming off a tough loss," Troy head coach Ged O'Connor said. "It was great to see so many players get some serious minutes, play well and make it difficult for me to pick a starting 11 moving forward."
