Sanae Ohta and Nancy Karaky Named All-Sun Belt Doubles First Team

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana- Troy women's tennis doubles duo, Sanae Ohta and Nancy Karaky, has been named to the All-Sun Belt Doubles First Team, the league office announced Thursday.
Ohta and Karaky are 11-5 this season in dual match play, and 2-0 in conference play on court one. The pair picked up their first doubles win together against No. 14 Auburn, as the defeated Caroline Turner and Georgia Axon 6-1. They also picked up wins against No. 48 Tulane, Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina and Middle Tennessee State.
Ohta has a 9-11 record on the season as the one-seed, and has been named Sun Belt Player of the Week once this season. Karaky is 4-12 on the year between courts three and four. She earned big wins against Virginia Tech and Georgia State this season.
The Trojans will travel to New Orleans, La., to compete in the Sun Belt Conference Championships in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 21, at 8 a.m. Troy will face the five-seed Coastal Carolina at the City Park/Pepsi Tennis Center.
