Trojans Set to Face Coastal Carolina in Sun Belt Championship Quarterfinals

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - The Troy women's tennis team earned a four-seed heading into the conference tournament in New Orleans, La. Troy will face the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 21 at 8 a.m., after getting a bye in the first round.
The Trojans (7-14, 2-2 SBC) defeated the Chanticleers 4-2 earlier this season. Senior Alicia Rodriguez leads the squad with an 11-3 dual match record, splitting her matches between courts five and six. On court one, Sanae Ohta has a 9-11 record and has picked up significant wins against No. 48 Tulane, Georgia Southern, Coastal Carolina, and New Orleans.
Coastal Carolina enters the tournament as the five seed with a 15-6 overall record and a 1-3 record in the Sun Belt. The Chanticleers lone conference win came against Appalachian State.
The semifinal rounds and championship matches of the tournaments will be broadcasted live on ESPN3 and available on the WatchESPN app. Announcers Drew Felios and Ken Thomas will have the call for Saturday's women's semifinals at 10 a.m. CT and the championship matches on Sunday, April 23 at 10 a.m. CT.
