Trojans Dominate in First Outdoor Meet

Final Results
MOBILE, Alabama – Troy track and field posted strong performances at South Alabama's Jaguar Opener in Mobile Friday and Saturday.

The Trojans started their 2017 season off with a bang – winning eight different events at the two-day meet. Overall there were 56 top eight finishes – 38 of which were fifth or better.

John Webb won the 600-meter dash with a personal best time of 1:22.27, and Myles Charley placed first in the long jump. Freshmen Chance Roe and Titus Sizemore had great showings in their first collegiate meet – winning the 1500-meter dash and high jump, respectively.

On the women's side, Tiarra Bailey ran a personal best 1:35.52 and won the 600-meter dash. Discus thrower Corina Cox and hammer thrower Helga Volgyi both finished first in their events as well.

The women's 1600-meter medley relay – consisting of Sierra King, Briyana Carter, Adriana Williams and Erika Kulp – added another win to Troy's total.

The outdoor season continues with another trip to Mobile to compete in South Alabama's Jaguar Classic on March 17.
